Clarion Awards - Bronze

For COP 27, we set out to highlight the voices of African leaders tackling climate change and sustainability across the continent. That meant flying to Kenya to capture in-person interviews with key figures like Alice Ruhweza, Head of WWF Africa, while also working with remote crews to film others over Zoom. But we didn’t just want talking heads, we wanted the real world to be part of the story.

So we took a white backdrop and placed it in stunning locations across Kenya, framing our interviewees against the very environments affected by climate change. It was a simple idea but one that visually linked their words to the landscapes they are fighting to protect.
